Prof. Dr. Karl D. Brandmeir, C.F.B.E., C.H.I.A.
Before being Dean of the IMPERIAL INTERNATIONAL Hotel College in Vietnam since September 2016, Prof. Dr. Brandmeir is the former Managing Director of the University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV) – Singapore campus. He is currently also a senior advisory member of the Singapore Enterprise Association. With decade of experience as a leading expert in the casino, hospitality and tourism industry, he held several posts of directorship as a Regional Director of F&B for Sheraton Astrodome Hotel/Patriot-American Hospitality and Director of Food & Beverage Projects for Harrah’s Entertainment. He had also published several academic journals on his research, including Casino Management, Human Resource in Tourism/Hospitality, Hospitality Operations, and etc.
Dao Vinh Duy
Vice Dean of IIHS & Training Director of Imperial Hotel
Mr. Dao Vinh Duy – Vice Dean of IMPERIAL INTERNATIONAL Hotel College, Training Director of The IMPERIAL Hotel, with years of experience and has obtained many international certificates in the field of development and training of human resources in the service industry in general and hospitality industry in particular at hotels, resorts such as Vinpearl, MGM Grand Ho Tram. His international working experience in the position of Restaurant Manager of Saveurs D’Asie Restaurant (France). Mr. Duy will work with Professors and experts of IIHC to build the training program specialised for the hospitality major, especially the educational philosophy that focuses on practical to enhance the occupational skills at IMPERIAL INTERNATIONAL Hotel College.
Dr. Deborah T. Curtis
Executive Director – Brennan Center for Language, Culture and Leadership and International Relations , Niagara University
Dr. Deborah T. Curtis is an experienced specialist in developing training programs, particularly effective English for foreigners. She has successfully organized training programs in many countries on continents, and she understands as well as appreciates the differences in language, culture and business in different countries. She has led management development programs in the U.S. for delegations of executives and government officials from China, Thailand and Vietnam. She oversees the Hospitality and Tourism Training Institute which provides career preparation for unemployed refugees. Dr. Curtis collaborated directly with IIHC’s expert team in developing the Hotel Management Programs.
Dr. Kurt A. Stahura
Dean of the College of Hospitality and Tourism Management at Niagara University
Dr. Stahura has spent years for teaching, researching and working in the field of culture, society and especially the hospitality and tourism industries. He came to Niagara after serving as the Managing Director for UNLV-Singapore which is part of the William F. Harrah College of Hotel Administration of the University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV). He has published numerous research papers and publications. Dr. Stahura has also been involved extensively in executive education creating a bridge between the academy and industry. He has collaborated with IIHC experts in developing the Hotel Management Programs.
Dang Thi Ha – Senior Advisor
With over 20 years of experience in working and training in the hospitality field, especially housekeeping operations. Ms.Dang Thi Ha has had many certificates including Certificate of ASEAN Master Assessor; Certificate of Supervisory Skills and Assessor, Certificate of The Trainer Development program for Housekeeping issued by Vietnam Tourism Certification Board (VTCB) and many other international certificates of training Housekeeping operations, assessment and management.
Ms. Ha has a lot of experience in developing and organizing the training curriculum as well as building Housekeeping operational process systems (SOP) for hotels and hospitality groups in Vietnam. Ms. Ha is currently the Room Division Manager at Keangnam Calidas Resident Service (Hanoi), she used to hold many key management positions at 5-star hotels, such as: Hanoi Daewoo Hotel, Imperial Hotel Vung Tau…
Tran Thi Hoa Sim
Chief Commercial Officer, IMPERIAL Group
With nearly 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Ms. Sim took responsibility of being in the senior management board, directly in charge of commerce, operation, sales & marketing, customer services in companies and hotels such as Vinpearl JSC, Victoria Hotels and Resorts, InterContinental Hotel Group, the Ascott Group. In addition, Ms. Sim is also an inspirational manager sharing her working experience and directly coaching her staff members. Her motto & training orientation of focusing on practice will help staff/students to achieve high work performance.
With years of experience working in the field of training and coaching for expatriates in the UK and many other countries like Bulgaria, Dubai, Egypt, India, Kenya, Kuwait, Maldives, Ukraine, UAE,… Mr. Fowler will bring the most effective educational experience to IIHC’s English students. Academic background combines with teaching skills for foreigners can support Mr. Fowler in the application of the curriculum in a rich, flexible and close connections teaching style with the students. His work’s goal is to help students to improve English skills, be confident in communicating and using English effectively in work and life.
Tran Thi Thanh Huong
Academic Administration Executive
Works as an Academic Administration Executive, Thanh Huong cooperates with native lecturers at IIHC to teach English programs. Her board experience in language education and understanding of international language examinations such as TOEIC, IELTS… helps Huong and IIHC’s lectures in providing the best support for students to improve their knowledge and language skills to achieve success in their work.
Dang Tieu Binh
Director of Rooms at the Imperial Hotel
Being in charge of Director of Rooms position and has been working at the Imperial Hotel, Vung Tau for 10 years. Mr Binh represents the model of a successful and professional manager working with highest passion for the career and for the clients’ benefits. He is also a qualified assessor approved by the Vietnam Tourism Certification Board (VTCB) in Front Office operation. With in-depth understanding of the hospitality industry in Vietnam, Binh will provide practical knowledge and experience of Rooms Management during the training for students.
Tran Thuy An
Human Resource Assistant Manager
From the perspective of the Human Resources Department in the field of Hospitality, Ms. Tran Thuy An will provide professional assessment about departmental staff. She will also assist the students to understand more about the professional, standardized working environment, especially in the Customer Service major that needs lots of actual working skills. Besides, Ms. Thuy An will directly assist and arrange so that our students can practice and have part-time job with payment right at The IMPERIAL Hotel while studying at IIHC.
